Uniform Policy

Mandatory Uniform Policy

P.S.189 is a uniform school. All students must be in full uniform daily. When shopping for school uniforms, shoes, and accessories, please adhere to the guidelines below. Please note students will have opportunities to show their school spirit on specific days of the year. With that said, it is important students follow the uniform policy.

Uniform Tops

• White Shirt or Blouse (T-shirts are not allowed)
• White or Navy Blue Sweaters/Cardigans (No Hoodies)

*7th and 8th grade students are expected to wear a navy blue blazer.

Uniform Bottoms

• Navy Blue Pants; Skirts or Jumpers
• No jeans, shorts, or leggings are allowed.

*7th and 8th grade students are expected to wear a navy blue blazer.

Shoes

• Black shoes, sneakers, or boots.
• Students may not wear: light-up shoes, open-toes shoes, shoes with wheels, UGG boots, Yeezy slides, or Yeezy foams.
